About Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a strengths based health profession that explores the things that people NEED and WANT to do as part of their day to day lives- everything from self care tasks (getting dressed, showering, toileting), leisure (things we enjoy doing like hobbies) and productivity (which could look like employment, study, volunteering or it may be keeping the house clean, maintaining the yard and so much more).
Occupational Therapists problem solve and implement strategies and resources that enable people to achieve their individual goals.
